You can teach the children anything you know either from your life experiences or studies, whatever you think would be useful to the local children. The only requirement is don’t be boring! The school aims to broaden minds and give our students the inspiration and courage to continue their studies.

Before you apply, we want you to relax and have some fun: this little Test here will give you an idea of what kind of people we are looking for and whether you think that you match the description. Enjoy!

To apply for the Volunteer School in Buryatia:

• Answer the question “What can I teach the children in these villages?”. Volunteers of 2009 are ready to share their Experience with you and provide some Tips!

• Prepare a two-week-teaching plan for your introduction course into basics of English or family planning, or economy/ psychology/ etc.

• Fill out the application form.

Deadline

The Summer School session 2012 will take place in June, 1 – 14, in Khamneyvillage of Zakamensky district of Buryatia republic of Russia.

There is no deadline really. As soon as we find enough people with enough diverse backgrounds, meaning both foreign and Russian volunteers as well as an array of topics they will teach, the list of participants will be closed.

Volunteer opportunities are also available throughout the year. You are welcome to visit and teach at any time of a year and for as long as you want (few days, weeks or months).

BuryatiaSummerSchool.org project takes place in villages of Buryatia republic of Russia. Volunteers are welcome to visit Buryatia and teach in one of the schools. The decision on volunteers’ placement will be taken by schools itself depending on their availability and schedule.
