When

BuryatiaSummerSchool.org project takes place in villages of Buryatia republic of Russia. Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year. You are welcome to visit and teach at any time of a year and for as long as you want (few days, weeks or months). The decision on volunteers’ placement will be taken by schools depending on their availability and schedule.

BuryatiaSummerSchool.org has also its Summer School session where the name and the concept of the project originates from.

The Summer School session 2012 will take place in June, 1 – 14, in Khamneyvillage of Zakamensky district of Buryatia republic of Russia.

There is no deadline really. As soon as we find enough people with enough diverse backgrounds, meaning both foreign and Russian volunteers as well as an array of topics they will teach, the list of participants will be closed.

Summer School 2012 in Khamney village will be two weeks long:

• the first week is in a school summer camp located in the forest near the healing and holy spring nearby village. The classes will be conducted open-air and must be active and fun. A wooden house, banya (Russian sauna) and simple life close to nature are to your service.
• the second teaching week will be moved back to the village and classes will be conducted in the classrooms. There will be electricity, Internet, computer and beamer available. Volunteers will have a chance to get to know closely locals and culture of diversely populated Khamney village.
